February 2012

The bravest of boats are venturing out into Bigbury Bay, and the daffodils decorate the approaches to the Hotel. That can only mean one thing: the Hotel is open again after the January shutdown. As well as the normal deep-cleaning and maintenance, we have been able to refurbish seven of our rooms - numbers 210 to 216 (see picture below). And Hope Cove retains its peculiar micro-climate with no snow and hardly any frost during the winter.

The best news we have is that we are retaining our 2011 prices this year - we know that times are hard so this is our little gesture to help.

Our website is expanding as well. We hope that the site will become a hub for your holiday, with pages on the towns and villages in the area, and information on the many houses, castles, museums and attractions that you can visit. Then there will be pages for the energetic visitor - walking, golfing, sailing, etc.

We have added a page where you can pre-order products such as champagne, sandwiches, flowers, etc., to be ready you on your arrival - imagine sitting down to a bottle of wine and a scrumptious crab sandwich waiting in your room after a long drive (go to Pre-order Page)

The pages will be added on a continual basis so keep checking the drop-down menus at the top of the pages. See what you might find.
